Biographical Information

Dr. Calvin Chong is Professor of Practical Theology at Singapore Bible College. He has been part of the SBC faculty since 1995 first teaching in the OT department, then serving in academic leadership, and now teaching across multiple disciplines including biblical studies, pastoral ministries, educational design, as well as intercultural studies.

He is author of several articles and book chapters focused on changing global realities that impact church and society, impact of digital worlds on church, and ministry amongst youth/young adults, diasporic peoples, oral-visual learners, and the ageing population in Singapore.

Dr. Chong serves on the Executive Committee of the Methodist School of Music and is actively involved in developing community music programmes for seniors there. He leads Bible lands tours regularly and also serves in the Services committee at the migrant NGO Healthserve. He and his wife worship at the Covenant Community Methodist Church.
