Ageing as Good News:

Exploring the
Church’s Role in
Dementia Prevention

Zoom available to overseas participants

Ageing is often seen as a period of loss — of health, vitality, and connection. Yet research shows that growing older can also be a time of resilience and renewal.

The Jurong Ageing Study, the first of its kind in Asia, demonstrated that community-based programmes can reduce depression and dementia among seniors. Its success gave rise to the Age Well Everyday (AWE) initiative, now active in 15 centres across Singapore, helping seniors live with greater purpose and well-being.

Can the church play a part in this good news story?
